Subcontractors, who have employees and are responsible for them at all times, must carry Workers' Compensation Insurance if they have others working for them. Independent Contractors (ICs) differ in that they are a one-person entity with no employees or additional workers, hired to perform specific tasks under a contract. If you have someone else working for you, you are considered a subcontractor and must obtain Workers' Compensation Insurance.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Signed IC/Subcontractor Master Agreement (via the "Apply Now" button below).
2. Insurance:
- General Liability: minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate coverage.
- Vehicle Liability Insurance: minimum of $500,000 in coverage.
4. Workers' Compensation Insurance (required for Subcontractors).
5. Independent Contractor Questionnaire Form (required for ICs).
6. Background Affidavit.
7. Most recent jobs with references.
8. Understand and agree to our Code of Conduct and Worksite Safety Guidlines which are as follows:
ClassONE® Property Restoration is committed to conducting business with the highest levels of ethics and integrity. Adhering to workplace protocol is also paramount to ensure the safety and well-being of all workers. Everyone who works alongside ClassONE® has a valuable role to play in advancing our mission and helping to shape our working culture and reputation.
- Only authorized personnel are allowed to enter the worksite as approved by the Project Manager.
- Adhere to Scope and Schedule, and inform the Project Manager immediately if there are changes.
- Call the customer at least 30 minutes prior to arrival.
- Inform the customer of your departure (for break, lunch, or end of the day).
- Inform the customer upon your return.
- Clean-up before departure.
- No drugs, alcohol, or tobacco use is permitted on or near the worksite.
- No weapons or firearms are permitted on or near the worksite.
- Theft or intentional damage to property will result in immediate termination and may be prosecuted.
- No minor children or pets are allowed in the work area.
- All workers are to present themselves in clean and appropriate attire and in a professional and courteous manner. ClassONE has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination or harassment of any kind.
- All workers must act with care and perform services only in areas where they are contracted and competent, or under competent supervision.
- All workers must follow OSHA’s safety rules and regulations while on the job site. This includes performing job duties with proper personal protective equipment (PPE), such as adequate footwear, eyewear, and hand protection. Additional protection may be warranted by specific hazards, including working at elevations that exceed 6 feet.
